Missing Teeth? Why not ‘Grow’ New Ones?
Dental Implant Benefits
Dental implants are the ideal way to replace lost teeth and secure loose dentures. Implants are sturdy anchors that can be used in a variety of ways to restore chewing function and help you recapture a beautiful and healthy smile.
How Dental Implants Work
Unlike bridges that remove valuable tooth structure from adjacent teeth, or removable partial dentures that are bulky and sit on top of the gums, dental implants are placed directly into the jawbone. Bone naturally fuses to the implant, which acts as the “root” for the implant tooth. The implant is later restored with a connector called an abutment and finished with a porcelain crown that looks just like a natural tooth. The “tooth” feels and appears life-like, because it comes through the gums just like the original tooth did – it’s like growing a new tooth! Because we handle the entire process from tooth extraction and implant placement to crown fabrication, there’s no need to be referred to another office.
Replacing Missing Teeth
Dental implants are ideal for replacing any number of lost teeth. Just as a bridge can be fixed in place on natural teeth, two or more implants can be strategically placed and used as the foundation to support a fixed bridge when several teeth in a row are missing. The implant bridge is made of porcelain, looks like natural teeth, fills in gaps, and never has to be removed. Implant bridges can replace anything from a few missing teeth to all the teeth in the arch. We utilize CEREC™ technology and our own laboratory to handle the entire process from implant placement to bridge fabrication, so there’s no need to be referred to another office or wait weeks for your bridge to be fabricated.
Dentures can often slip and slide due to loss of bone support and movement of the tongue when talking and eating. This movement is often painful and frustrating, can be embarrassing, and is not eliminated with denture adhesives. We are happy to offer our patients a solution! Dental Implant is an excellent way to secure loose dentures and restore your confidence. Placing implants in the jawbone allows the implant denture to snap on and off, which prevents slipping and sliding and eliminates the need for denture adhesive. We handle everything from implant placement to denture fabrication in our office and our on-site lab.
Full-Arch Dental Implants
For those who are facing the loss of all their natural teeth or want to say goodbye to a removable denture, full-arch dental implants are a wonderful solution. Enjoy eating a full variety of foods again, just as you did with your natural teeth. Because these bridges are attached to implants, and do not rest on the gum tissue, they are as comfortable and secure as they are beautiful! Schedule your complimentary implant consultation and find out if you’re a candidate for full-arch dental implants.
