Last year we all missed out on many of our normal holiday parties and other get togethers thanks to COVID. This year, as we put this virus in the rear-view mirror, we’re all more than ready for some serious socializing.

Why not show up with the dazzling perfect smile created with porcelain veneers? At Implant Dentistry of Florida, we use porcelain veneers to mask cosmetic imperfections and give our patients a dazzling, perfect smile. And, thanks to our CEREC® system, we can prepare your teeth, mill your veneers from the finest dental porcelain, and place them all in a single visit. Talk about a white Christmas!

What are porcelain veneers?

If you think of the use of veneers in furniture, the concept is similar with dental veneers. Veneers are thin shells of porcelain applied to the front side of your natural teeth to alter the tooth shape, color, and size. Porcelain veneers are an effective option for covering imperfections.

What problems can be addressed with porcelain veneers?

At Implant Dentistry of Florida, we use porcelain veneers to improve various imperfections on our patients’ teeth. Veneers can…

  •     Cover chips
  •     Cover teeth stained in the dentin (interior)
  •     Revitalize the tooth surface
  •     Close gaps
  •     Mask alignment issues
  •     Change the shape of a tooth
  •     Cover cracks and worn teeth
  •     Provide an alternative to orthodontic movement

Who is a good candidate to have porcelain veneers?

You need to remember that porcelain veneers are a cosmetic improvement of your teeth. They do not correct underlying problems such as decay. If your teeth have problems such as decay, serious cracks, or gum disease, these problems need to be addressed and corrected first. Otherwise, if your teeth are in good shape, just about anyone is a good candidate for porcelain veneers at Implant Dentistry of Florida.

Why are your veneers made from porcelain?

At Implant Dentistry of Florida, we mill our veneers from the finest dental porcelain. Some dentists offer composite resin veneers because they are less expensive. But we only use porcelain because of its high strength, hardness, glassiness, durability, and resistance to staining. Plus, we find the translucence of porcelain very closely mirrors that of natural tooth enamel.
