Does Your Smile Need a Makeover?

Over this oddest spring and summer any of us has ever been through, we’ve all spent way more time indoors than we would like. After running out of things to watch on Netflix and Amazon Prime, odds are you’ve begun to take inventory of various things around you.

Couch? Too much time together. Time for a new one.

Carpet? Too much traffic. Time for new threads underfoot.

Junk in the garage? Time to visit the dump.

What about your smile? While you may have skipped many a day shaving or putting on more than a bathrobe (yeah, we’re talking to you!), you shouldn’t have missed any chances to keep your oral health in good shape. When looking in the mirror twice every day, you may have come across aspects in your smile you’d love to upgrade.

Well, now that we’re sort of returning to an odd sort of normal, maybe this is the perfect time to come see Dr. Brown and our entire team at Implant Dentistry of Florida for a smile makeover. In this month’s two blogs, let’s get into just what’s involved with these procedures at our Melbourne offices.

What is a smile makeover?

smile makeover is basically a cosmetic overhaul of your smile. It corrects any cosmetic flaws with your smile. These can be alignment issues, missing teeth, discoloration, basically any cosmetic problem. During your consultation with Dr. Brown/Vaughn/Doan, you will detail the things you don’t like about your smile and the changes you’d like to see. From there, we will examine your teeth and recommend various treatments to achieve your smile makeover.

One thing that is important to understand about smile makeovers, however, is that they are cosmetic dentistry procedures. Yes, there can be overlap with general dentistry procedures, such as a dental implant, but smile makeovers are aesthetic in nature.

Would I be a good candidate for a smile makeover?

No one has a perfect natural smile. There isn’t a threshold to qualify for a smile makeover at Implant Dentistry of Florida; it depends on your goals. One requirement is that your basic oral health is good. Our smile makeovers involve various cosmetic fixes to your smile. Serious oral health problems such as tooth decay, missing the majority or all of your teeth, and gum disease have to be dealt with before any smile makeover procedures can begin.

What are the benefits of a smile makeover?

What’s the value of a dazzling, balanced, beautiful smile? A smile makeover can change how easily you smile and how confident you are when you do. We don’t even realize how much we subconsciously hide issues with our teeth, such as tetracycline staining. A smile makeover will make you more confident and prouder to show off your new perfect smile.

In September’s second blog we’ll get into the procedures that make up a smile makeover. In the meantime, is it time for your twice-yearly cleaning and exam? Call us at (321) 372-7700 to make your appointment.
