Latest Dental News and Information

We strive to provide our patients with the best dental care available.  Our pledge is to provide you with the highest Quality, Comfort and Convenience.  Most dental procedures are performed in the office.   When specific specialists are required, we work with some of the best practitioners in the area.

General Dentistry

General dentistry is the cornerstone of good oral health.  It starts with an examination that includes a visual examination and an appropriate radiographic examination.  We assess your general dental health, including cavities, periodontal condition, soft and hard tissue conditions, home care habits, TMJ, oral cancer screening and occlusal evaluation.  We then explore your major concerns and desires.  Together we arrive at a plan that addresses all of your needs and desires.

General dental services we offer include:

  • Cleanings (prophylaxis)

  • Composite restorations (white fillings)

  • Crowns and fixed bridges

  • Dentures and partial dentures

  • Root canal therapy

  • Extractions

  • Night guards and sports guards

  • Veneers and bonding

  • Dental implants

  • Laser dentistry

  • Cerec 3-D

Cosmetic Dentistry

Studies have shown that first impressions are the strongest. A great smile is essential to a great first impression.  Cosmetic dentistry has entered a new era with stronger, more life-like materials and techniques.  Dr. Brown provides the latest in cosmetic dental procedures.  This is accomplished by first  analyzing your smile.  Your desires and existing oral condition are all considered to arrive at the best possible treatment options for you.  Newer materials and techniques provide the basis for remarkable results.  Dr. Brown keeps up to date with the latest that dentistry has to offer.  He is one of a few Lumineer certified dentists and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Implant Dentistry

Dental implants provide a solid foundation for replacing missing teeth.  You no longer need to suffer with missing teeth or loose and slipping dentures.  Dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, several missing teeth, or provide a stable foundation to secure dentures.  Dr. Brown has placed and restored dental implants since 1982. He is experienced with most dental implant systems.  From the new "mini" implants to the state-of-the-art Spectra System's "ScrewPlant", dental implants provide a reliable and predictable means for replacing missing teeth.  Dr. Brown is one of a few dentists worldwide who is board certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry.  He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and  a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Cerec 3-D Restorations

The traditional method for making tooth-colored cosmetic dental restorations and crowns involve a number of dental appointments with the final restoration or crown being made by a dental laboratory. This involves the wearing of a temporary restoration during the two to three weeks it takes the laboratory to complete the restoration or crown.  Today, Cerec 3-D's CAD/CAM dental restoration milling system allows us to custom fabricate restorations and crowns in the office and cement them in place - all in a single appointment.

Sedation

Fear of the dentist is quite common, but it doesn't have to be.  Dr. Brown offers a number of methods to reduce your fear and make your visit as pain and stress free as possible.  Oral sedation is one method that can reduce apprehension for the mildly anxious patient.  Nitrous oxide is also available to further reduce the anxiety associated with dental procedures.  For the extremely anxious (those who are just plain scared to death), Dr. Brown is licensed to perform conscious sedation (I.V. sedation).  Conscious sedation provides the greatest level of sedation and anxiety reduction without putting the patient completely to sleep.  Additional local anesthetic agents are used to make your visit comfortable.  We would be more than happy to discuss your particular fears and the ways we can over come them.  You don't have to be afraid of the dentist.
